Southend
After our training day on Friday I took the camera on a day trip to Southend.
I imported the film into the Macbook and started to work on it.
After one text and several questions to Soren, it began to take shape.
It took me 3/4 hours to edit and create the film, but I learnt so much along the way. Just want to encourage you to get started on any project to become more confident using this media. Hope you enjoy the film the girls are my daughters, don't worry it's only three minutes long. Happy film making. Sharon.

Top work Sharon!
ReplyDeleteIt might be worth pausing to think how many new skills you have used:
1. You have used the camera effectively to take a good range of closer shots to get the personalities across, but also longer ones to give the viewer a sense of context.
2. You have captured the footage from the camera and imported into Imovie. This might not seem like such a big deal, but you would be surprised how much stuff stays on the camera and never gets seen again.
3. You have selected elements of the footage and put them together in a way that tells the story of the day.
4. You have used the themes, video effects and sound to bring the film together and make it really work.
5. You have shared it to three different places - Itunes, You Tube and Idvd so that it can be shared with people over the internet, watched with the family on the TV and archived for the future.
I think that's pretty fantastic! I look forward to seeing what you make next.
Soren
